George worked with his father as miller.   Also after his marriage he is listed at the baptisms of his children as a publican in 1866 to 1882.   This public house was called “[https://laceygreenhistory.com/w/index.php/The_Whip The Whip]”  The family may have lived there rather than in Windmill Farmhouse.    In 1901 census George was living in the [https://laceygreenhistory.com/w/index.php/Windmill_Farm Windmill Farm] house.

George Cheshire born 1836  was the son of John & Ann Cheshire

Sarah Steele was the former miller’s daughter.

George and Sarah married in 1865.
