Hilda Gomme born 1892 was the daughter of Kilburn & Julia Gomme
Hilda remained single but was very well known as a postwoman.
In 1970 she was interviewed on BBC television daily 6 o'clock programme 'Newsround'. 79 year old Hilda still walked her five to six mile round every day laden with a heavy postbag.
