Arch and Elsie married in 1925.

Arch had previously been married in 1919 to Emily Beatrice Currell, daughter of Free Currell. They had no children, but adopted Pete Salmon who became a baker.

Elsie had previously been engaged to John Rixon of Speen. He was killed in August 1918 fighting Austrians in the Italian Dolomites (Taken from the Speen and North Dean News, issue 57).
