Charlie Claydon born 1917 was the son of William & Lily Ruth Claydon
Charlie worked for Sid Janes at The Bakehouse for many years. He lived with Mrs Janes at Woodpeckers, Kiln Lane after Sid died.
In 1930's. Excerpt from the autobiography of Douglas Brett -"One Guy Fawkes Night a great friend of mine, Charlie Claydon, was foolishly holding a lighted Thunder Flash in his hand. The explosion damaged his hand and blinded one eye.
