Oliver George Ginger, known as 'George' born 1861 was the son of Daniel Westfield & Sophia Ginger

Clara Williams born 1863 was the daughter of James & Sarah Williams and Sarah, nee Ginger, (daughter of John Ginger)

George and Clara married in 1887

George was recorded in every census as a farm labourer, except in 1871 when he was 9 years old, when he was a shepherd boy.

They lived in a cottage at Idle Corner, Lacey Green.

They had eight children as follows :-

Daniel Rupert Ginger, known as 'Rupert' was born in 1888 . In October 1908 he enlisted as a shoeing smith in the 4th Dragoon Guards (Royal Irish).
