The detached property Culham House was built during the 1930's on Pink Road, Lacey Green. Originally just called 'Culham' as that was the name of the college where Cecil Saunders did his teacher training.
In the 1939 Register (census) it was lived in by Cecil Jabez Saunders and his wife Margaret 'Maggie', nee Goodie.

in May 1998 Nigel Ridge wrote in Hallmark that the ladies at a coffee morning at his home Culham House were surprised to see a red squirrel in their garden Most commonly they see them on their own but occasionly they see two at the same time. He thinks they come in for the bird food they put out regularly. Editors note. There have also been more widespread single sightings, including in Loosley Row and crossing Wardrobes Lane.
