Weather.

January 7^th.   Pumps frozen, unable to get water. . Ordered half hundredweight coal.

Illness

October 20^th. John Rixon is ill with scarlet fever

November 22^nd. A second case of scarlet fever, Louie Rixon

Distractions from school.

February 6^th. Frank Lacey and Harold Janes visited the dentist on Thursday and are unable to attend school today.

March 10^th. Half-holiday given to enable many of the children to attend the War Memorial Service and tea at the chapel.

May 19^th. As the boys were coming to school, Fred Oakford was injured on his nose by a stone.   As the cut was a deep one I thought it advisable to send him home.

July 16^th. Eleven boys left at playtime in the afternoon (2.15pm) in order to play a cricket match with the boys from Downley School

September 27^th. A number of children were absent to attend the fair at Wycombe.

Notes.

January 30^th. I resign the headship of this school today. H.C. Avery.

February 1^st. I, Kate Floydd Gray, take charge of the school today.  The staff now consists of Miss Kate .F. Gray, Miss Mabel R. Janes and Miss Ann E. Hawes.
