1939 Register (census) Cedar Cottage Speen. Harold G Janes, born 1912 poultryman and gardener and Ivy E Janes born 1912.
December 6th. 1946 Vine Cottage. Harry Floyd of Floyds Farm sold Vine Cottage to Harold George Janes :- Conveyance. Consisting of a piece land having a frontage to the road of 103 feet together with the messuage erected thereon, (Vine Cottage). The Janes family called the house 'Cliveden', not Vine Cottage.
