Arthur 'Lawrence' Brown born 1883 was the son of ? & Rose Brown
Emily 'Sarah' Janes born 1882 was the daughter of Abel Geotge & Ellen Janes. click George & Ellen Janes
Lawrence and Sarah married in 1908
1901 census Lawence was living with his grandparents in Naphill aged 17, with his grandparents he was a brickmaker.
Lawrence and Sarah had 5 children as follows :-
-Kathleen Ellen Brown born 1908 married Harry Church. Click Harry Church and click Kathleen Church
Gladys Brown born 1910 married Jack Kirby. click Jack & Gladys Kirby
Alice Irene 'Rene' Brown born 1912 married Leonard Macey. click Len & Rene Macey (2 children Barry born 1944, Colin born 1947)
Frederick Wilfred Brown born ? remained single.
Nance Brown born 1920 married Vivien Phillips in 1944
In 1915 Lawrence and Sarah Brown took over the license of The Crown
Lawrence died in 1924
Sarah Brown, now licensee, brought up the children. Her mother, Mrs. Ellen Janes moved in to live with them and help her. ( George & Ellen Janes)
