DEATH OF KING GEORGE V. George V was King from 1910 to 20th January 1936. His son, Edward succeeded as King Emperor Edward VIII.

In 1917, following WW1, he change the Royal House name from “Saxe-Coburg and Gotha” to “Windsor”.
