+'''DEATH OF ELIZA.   1905.'''   '''From the Bucks Advertizer.   A Tribute to Eliza Eggleton.'''   Still another old inhabitant of this neighbourhood has joined the majority we refer to the demise of Mrs. Eliza Eggleton, widow of the late Mr. Joseph Eggleton, of Culverton Farm, who passed away on Thursday evening, July 20th.   Mrs. Eggleton was predeceased by her husband about eight years.   The deceased has been confined to her bedroom for the past seven months, and her suffering at times have been very great, but she bore them with such Christian fortitude and patience throughout.  She has resided at Culverton Farm for over thirty years.   For many years she was a member at Askett Baptist Chapel, and a most regular attendant at the services.   She was beloved by a wide circle of friends, and was known for her real sympathy with all Christian work).  The funeral, which was largely attended, took place on Monday at the Baptist Chapel, Princes Risborough, the officiating: minster beige the Rev. F. J. Benskin.
 The following were the chief mourners:– Mr John Eggleton, Mr. Owen Eggleton (sons), Mrs. T. East, Mr. G. East, Mrs. Grange (daughters), Mrs. S. Groom (sister). Mr. O. Groom (nephews), Mr. G. East, jun., Miss Mabel East, Mr. R. East, Miss R. East, Masters George and Joseph Eggleton (grandchildren), Mr. Timothy East, Mr. Grange, Mr George East (sons-in-law), Mr. George Eggleton, Mr. George Eggleton (Wardrobes), Mr. Thomas East (Culverton Mill), Mr Jno. East (Manor Farm), Mrs. Pearce (Hillendon); also Mr. Benskin, Miss Jo Philps, Dr. F. S. Watson. Mrs Baker, Miss J. Crockett (Askett0, Miss E. Orchard, and others.   The coffin was borne to the Chapel by six of the employees on the farm.   Mr. Benskin delivered a feeling address during the service, and said he knew the deceased thirty years ago, and had spent many a happy hour with her.   Although he was not a member of the Risborough Baptist Church she always did what she could to help on the Cause in any way.   Mr George Lacey, builder, carried out the funeral arrangement. In a satisfactory manner.   The coffin was made of polished oak, with brass fittings, and upon the breastplate was inscribed “Eliza Eggleton, died July 20th. 1905, aged 74 years"
