Clive Houghton started a DJ business part-time in 1980, becoming full time in 1992.   Being a DJ three nights a week and buying and selling equipment from his mother’s home in Flackwell Heath.   By 1999 it had grown so much it was time to get a shop.   He and his wife Karen came to Lacey Green purchasing the old [[Hickmans Stores]] and [[Entertainment House]] was created.

'''CHAIRMAN of VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE.'''   Clive immediately joined [[The Residents Association]], becoming their representative on the [[Village Hall Committee]]. Clive soon found himself Chairman of the [[Village Hall Committee]], a position he has held for some years.   Clive quickly became part of the village community.   Some people never manage to.   It says much for his personality and commitment to all he does.

This will be my 23rd A.G.M as booking secretary. As I reflect back, it is with great pride that such a village resource has been and, is so well used. Sadly, many previous committee members have passed away; but for those of us that had the privilege to work alongside them, they are not forgotten. It’s a very different world today compared to 1999 when the ‘new’ hall opened.
