John William known as 'Johnnie' Saunders and Elizabeth Daisy Dell, known as 'Daisy' were both from long established families in Lacey Green.

Johnnie and Daisy married in 1896.   They lived at [[Fern Cottage]], Main Road, Lacey Green

Johnnie was a carpenter and builder.  Later he was also the landlord of the Public House [[The Black Horse]], the tenancy of which he inherited from Ann Ginger, his aunt.   He was a Manager of [[Lacey Green School]] and a member of Wycombe Rural District Council.
