Workhouse
From Lacey Green History
The local workhouse was built in 1843 near the bottom of Smalldean Lane, not far from Saunderton Station which was just across the Turnpike Road (later the B4010).
Many people ended their days there, included those from Lacey Green and Loosley Row.
