Woodway Cottage

11th June 1824. Edward Anderson of Darvills Hill, baker, leased from the Manor ground called "Collins" at Loosley Row of 1 acre, previously Thomas Barefoot's cottage with meadow/orchard of 2 acres and 3 closes of arable of 8 acres called Great Anthony. Little Anthony and Lower Baggs, now 1 close with 2 cottages on it built by Thomas Barefoot on Upper Woodway, Loosley Row in which Thomas Barefoot the younger and William Adams had dwelt. Also allotment in Middle Field of 2 roods, 13 poles.

Research Note Hallmark 1983. A letter was published in Hallmark from Brian Panter with his address given as Woodway Cottage. Brian lived in the house up on the bank ahead of you as you drove up Woodway from Princes Risborough. This house had been virtually rebuilt in the 1960/70s.
