The Grass Dryer, Woodway

.Planning permission was approved in 1951 for a grass drying building to be constructed on the south-west side of Woodway Road, Loosley Row.
The land belonged to Frank Garner and he had made the planning applications.
Frank Garner lived at Collins Farm, Loosley Row and had been the Principle of the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester. He was in a farming partnership with his brother Aubrey Garner who lived at Culverton Farm.
In 1959 an extension was added
1n 1964 an application for a change of use was made to - 'Use of premises for storage of agricultural foodstuffs and haulage contractors depot'.
In 1965 Frederick (known as Graham) Whitlock was there running his agricultural engineering business, 'Whitlock Engineering'.
In 1971 planning permission was granted for the erection of a dwelling and garage. (House called Windy Ridge)
In 1973 the building was extended on the rear.
December 1984 Jim Dance took the premises, moving into the house in November 1985, until the previous owner, Bill Bar??? move out.
In 1997 Permission was granted to 'Risborough Agricultural Services' to store agricultural machinery on the land.
