Sir William Lawrence Young

William Lawrence Young was born in 1806 in Sidmouth, Devon. He married in 1832 to Caroline Norris, daughter of John Norris of Hughenden House. In the 1841 census he and his family were living at North Dean Farm. He died in 1842 aged 36.

Politician. Young was the Conservative Member of Parliament for Buckinghamshire from 1835 to 1842.

Absentee Landlord. Young acquired land here, but was an absentee landlord and it was all tenanted out.

In the Enclosures of the parish of Princes Risborough in 1823 Sir William Lawrence Young was allotted the following in lacey Green, Loosley Row and Speen :-

677 Allotment. For Tithes of copyhold land. This field is a field on the south side of Coombs

810 Allotment. Bueleys. This was 5 fields that made up Bueley Farm (no house), lying east of Slad Lane and north of road to Darvills Hill.

801 Sears Wood Field. This is a field north-east of Turnip End, running down to Highwood Bottom.
