Robert Robbins 1857-1933 was born in Midgeham, Berks. Selina Barnard 1859-1901(41) was born in High Street, Princes Risborough. They Married in 1880.
Robert Robbins, widower, married Margaret Motschmann in 1906 in Hackney. Born 1867, she was a cook. She died in 1951 at 'The Bunch' Loosley Row.
Selina was the mother of Robert's 10 children as follows ----
Arthur Owen Robbins born 11 November 1881 in Beckenham, Kent. Married 1903 to Minnie Jane Gilks. They lived in a 3-roomed cottage in Church Street Princes Risborough. Arthur was a bricklayer. By 1911 Arthur & Minnie had 4 children - Annie Selina 7, Edward Arthur 5, George 3, Eric Frank 9 months. In 1915 Arthur enrolled in the Royal Engineers for WW1. He survived. In 1939 they were living in Thame. Arthur died July 1953 in Thame.
Robert Robbins born 31st December 1882 in Loosley Row married Dora Harriet King in 1905. At age 16 (1899) Robert joined the uniformed staff of Great Western Railway as a lad porter at High Wycombe. By 1911 he was a signalman living in High Wycombe with Dora and Gladys age 3. They emigrated to Sydney, NSW, Aus
Henry Thomas born 1884, died 20th January 1975, Sittingbourne, Kent.
Albert Robbins born 1st October 1886, died April 1976. He married in 1912 to Martha Mary Slade of Chorley Wood, Herts. They were living there in 1939, Albert was a postman.
George Robbins born 19th September 1888 at Great Hampden. Joined the Royal Navy 9th September 1906. In 1911 recorded at Grimsby as Able Bodied Seaman in 3rd Flotilla, Home Fleet. On 3rd September 1939 transferred to R.N.S.P.
Katherine (Kate) Robbins born 1891 at Great Hampden. Married Albert William Barefoot 1885-1960 son of John, born 1857 and Emma, nee Hawes, born1855. Kate and Albert William emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Children born Australia.
John (Jack) Robbins born 1892-1966. Died 20th January 1966 at The Bunch, Loosley Row.
Benjamin Robbins was born 30th July 1894 in Loosley Row. He joined the Royal Navy 16th April 1912. He married Edith K Janes, daughter of Horace Janes and Mary, nee Hickman, daughter of John Janes, sawyer of Lacey Green. In February 1926 he developed appendicitis while on board, was taken ashore to Chatham Hospital. He died February 1926. Edith K is thought to have married again in 1936 to George A Walton.
Frederick Robbins born 1897 in Loosley Row. Married 1918 Edith Baldwin from Swindon Wilts. Died May 1990 aged 93 in Sittingbourne Kent.
Edward Robbins 1899-1918 born Loosley Row. Edward died 13th September 1918 (19) WW1. He was a private in the Hampshire Regiment, 24th Battalion.
