Ralph Gomme born 1875 was the son of John & Sarah Gomme
Ellen Nolan Thrupp was born in Woolwich and had come to live in Loosley Row when her widowed mother had taken a position with Colonel & Mrs Tighe at Loosley House, first as the cook, then becoming the housekeeper.
Ralph and Ellen married in 1905
Ralph and Ellen Nolan Gomme first lived in the cottage of Loosley House. Ralph was the chauffeur to Colonel & Mrs Tighe

Excerpt from Hallmark 1978. "news from the past" (1905/6). "At the close of the football match the Sports Club President ( Rev.W. Robson) on behalf of the members of the Lacey Green Football Club, presented a silver-plated dinner cruet to the captain, Mr. Ralph Gomme, as a slight token of regard and expression of good fellowship on the occasion of his recent marriage. The members broke out with 'For he's a jolly good fellow' after which Mr Gomme suitably responded.
