Macmillan Coffee Morning

The Womens Institute holds the Macmillan Coffee Morning in Lacey Green Village Hall.

We had our Macmillan Coffee Morning on the 3rd October and were pleased to raise £746.04p for this worthwhile cause. We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone whodelivered fliers, made cakes, manned the stalls and the entrance, made endless cups of coffee and tea and were there to support us.
Also "Thank You" to all the husbands and friends who dealt with all the tables and chairs. We certainy could not have achieved such a grand toal without all of you.

We had our MacMillan Coffee Morning on 29th September at Lacey Green Village Hall. Because of Covid we had missed two years so we were thrilled to raise the grand total of £1,523.

Hallmark November 1998. Report by Ursula Glyn Jones. I would like to thank everyone who attended the Coffee Morning at the Chapel on Friday 2nd October. Very many thanks also to all the people who could not be there but sent such generous contribtions. It was a great success- and as many people said. a happy gathering. We raised the remarkable total of £456.
Hallmark October 1994. Report by Betty Harrington. The World's Biggest Coffee Morning 1994. 78 people attended our local effort. This was a little down on 1993 but many people who were not able to attend gave donations to help Macmillan nurses in their untiring work. Thanks to all who helped in any way, I am able to send £471.22 to the funds, as a result of this great effort by all our helpers.
Hallmark December 1993. Report by Betty Harrington. Our Macmillan Coffee morning on October 1st raised £471 with 82 signatures. It ws a wonderful effort which was much appreciated by the East Midlands Apeal Office - it will help many cancer sufferers. Many thanks to all who helped in any way.
Hallmark September 1992. On this day Coffee Partes will be held throughout the land to get an entry in the Guiness Book of Records. "The Biggest Coffee party in the World", and of course to raise money for cancer relief, Please support us on September 25th in the Methodist School Room from 10am to noon
