John Floyd born 1820 was the son of Joseph & Jane Floyd
Sarah Cheshire born 1840 was the daughter of John & Ann Cheshire.
John and Sarah were married in 1865. John was a widower. For his first marriage click John Floyd & Mary Ann Cook
In the 1871 census John and Sarah lived at Windmill Farm. John farmer of 48 acres employing 2 men and 1 boy.

Gift In 1887 John Cheshire, miller, gave to his daughter Sarah, the wife of John Floyd :-
Firstly. Land, part of Darvills Hill Wood, containing 67 perches. Bounded on the NW by Darvills Hill Wood and on the SE by the public road leading from Darvills Hill to Speen. This piece of ground was late in the occupation of Cornelius Williams and now in the occupation of Mary Williams and George Brown, together with the messuage, now converted into three cottages, erected on the same piece of ground. 'Secondly. All that piece of land situate at Lacey Green in the Parish of Princes Risborough, containing 2 roods, bounded on one side by land belonging to Thomas Stone, on another side by land belonging to Free Gomme and one another side by the Lacey Green Road and on the remaining side by land belonging to Richard Gomme, the father of the said Free Gomme, together with the two cottages erected and built thereon and now in the respective tenure of Benjamin Harvey and Leonard Biggs. ('''The 2 cottages were later called 'Willow Cottages) To hold the same unto Charles Hodsden in fee simple, provided always that the same £200 with interest thereon shall be paid in accordance with the foregoing covenant. 12 September 1887 Reconveyance The mortgage of 12th September 1884 John Cheshire and Charles Hodsden was repaid with Interest and cleared.
In the1891 census John and Sarah lived at the Public House The Whip, his mother Ann Cheshire was with them. John farmer and licensed victualler. George Cheshire, Sarah's brother is the miller.
In the 1901 census Sarah was a widow, listed as a publican and farmer
Also 3 boarders, Frederick and Alice Rogers with Alison Elsie Rogers 7 months old.
30th July 1907 Sarah Floyd made a New Will as follows :-
I SARAH FLOYD of Loosley Row in the Parish of Princes Risborough in the County of Buckingham Beerhouse Keeper hereby revoke all former Wills made by me and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
I APPOINT Joseph Bliss of High Wycombe Solicitor and George Floyd of Loosley Row, grocer (hereinafter called my Trustees) to be the Trustees and Executors of this my Will.
I BEQUEATH the following legacies payable within six calendar months from my decease namely -
To my brother George Cheshire Fifty pounds. To my Nephew John Cowell Twenty pounds. To my nephew Frederick Lawrence Cowell Twenty pounds and To my nephew Thomas Cheshire the son of my brother Thomas Cheshire Twenty pounds.
I DEVISE and BEQUEATH all my real and personal estates whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Trustees Upon Trust after paying thereout my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the before mentioned legacies to stand possessed of one moiety or equal half part thereof In trust to pay or apply the net income thereof to or for the benefit of Alison Elsie Rogers, daughter of Alice Rogers, now living with me for and during the term of her natural life. And from and after the decease of the said Alison Elsie Rogers I direct my Trustees shall stand possessed of the said moiety of my said estate and effects In trust for all the children of the said Alison Elsie Rogers who being sons shall attain the age of twenty one years or being daughters shall attain that age or marry under that age and if there shall be only one such child the whole to be in trust for that one child. And in case there shall not be any child of the said Alison Elsie Rogers I Devise and Bequeath the said moiety of my said estate unto and equally between such of the children of my brothers and sisters James Cheshire, George Cheshire, Susan Barcock and Hannah Cowell as shall be living at my decease and shall have attained or shall live to attain the age of twenty one years.
And I direct that my Trustees shall stand possessed of the other moiety or equal half part of my said estate In Trust to pay or apply the net income thereof to or for the benefit of Alice Beatrice Rogers, the other daughter of the said Alice Rogers for and during the term of her natural life And from and after the decease of the said Alice Beatrice Rogers I direct my Trustees shall stand possessed of the said moiety of my said estate and effects In trust for all the children of the said Alice Beatrice Rogers who being sons shall attain the age of twenty one years or being daughters shall attain that age or marry under that age and if there shall be only one such child the whole to be in trust for that one child. And in case there shall not be any child of the said Alice Beatrice Rogers I Devise and Bequeath the said moiety of my said estate unto and equally between such of the children of my brothers and sisters James Cheshire, George Cheshire, Susan Barcock and Hannah Cowell as shall be living at my decease and shall have attained or shall live to attain the age of twenty one years.
PROVIDED ALWAYS that if any devisee or legatee of this my Will shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children who shall survive me and being a son or sons shall attain the age of twenty one years or being a daughter or daughters shall attain that age or marry under that age the last mentioned child or children shall take and if more than one equally between them the interest under this my Will which his or their parent would have taken if such parent had survived me and attained the age of twenty one years.
AND I DECLARE that the said Joseph Bliss and any future Trustee of this my Will who may be a Solicitor shall be entitled to charge and be paid all professional or other charges for any business or act done by him or his firm in connection with my estate or the trusts of this my Will including any act which an executor or trustee not being a Solicitor could have done personally.
IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of May one thousand nine hundred and six.

I SARAH FLOYD of Loosley Row Beerhouse Keeper declare this to be a Codicil to my last Will and Testament which bears date the 18th day of May 1906
I BEQUEATH to Frederick Rogers the furniture in his bedroom. And I direct that my executors shall sell the remainder of my furniture and other household effects and apply the proceeds in apprenticing Alison Elsie Rogers and Alice Beatrice Rogers and otherwise for their benefit as my executors in their discretion shall think fit.
I BEQUEATH my clothes and wearing apparel equally between my nieces Nellie Barcock, Annie Cheshire, Margaret Cheshire and Susan Smith and in case of disagreement the decision of my executors to be final.
I BEQUEATH my watches and jewellery equally between the said Alison Elsie Rogers and the said Alice Beatrice Rogers.
I DEVISE my Three Cottages at Flowers Bottom, my 4 cottages at Speen and my acre of land at Lacey Green unto my Trustees Upon Trust to sell same and to stand possessed of the net proceeds thereof. As to one fourth part thereof for my brother George Cheshire. As to another fourth part to divide the same equally between my nephews John Cowell, Frederick Lawrence Cowell, Timothy Cowell and Arthur Cowell, the children of my late sister Hannah Cowell. As to another fourth part thereof to divide the same equally between Nellie Barcock and Alfred Barcock, the children of my sister Susan Barcock. And as to the remaining fourth part thereof to pay thereout to the said George Cheshire Ten pounds and to pay the balance to Thomas Cheshire the son of my late brother Thomas Cheshire.
I REVOKE the legacies of Fifty pounds to my brother George Cheshire and the three legacies of Twenty pounds each to my nephews John Cowell, Frederick Lawence Cowell, Thomas Cheshire given by my Will.
IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 30h day of July 1907.

Sarah Floyd died 9th August 1907.
Sarah bequeathed Willow Cottages to be held in trust by her executors, Joseph George Floyd and W. Bliss, solicitor, to pay the income from her estate to Alison Elsie Rogers for life. then to her heirs and descendants.
18th January 1908. Indenture between Arthur Henry Cowell of Northampton, tailor, Joseph Bliss of High Wycombe, solicitor and George Floyd of Loosley Row, grocer. Whereas the principle and interest monies secured by the properties mortgaged on 29th October 1887 were paid by Sarah Floyd to Mary Ann Buckmaster, but no reconveyance was executed by Mary Ann Buckmaster, and as Mary Ann Buckmaster died on the 21st December 1890. having made her will dated 1890 whereby she appointed her sister Susan Barcock (since deceased) and Arthur Henry Cowell Executors thereof, who duly proved the will on the 14th January 1891. And whereas Sarah Floyd died 9th August 1907, having made her will dated 18th May 1906, where she appointed Joseph Bliss and George Floyd her trustees and executors , who proved the same (with 1 codicil not affecting these presents). And Susan Barcock died 16th January 1900. And in consideration of all the principal money and interest secured by the above indenture having been paid, Arthur Henry Cowell as the surviving representative of Mary Ann Buckmaster, conveys to Joseph Bliss and George Floyd, all the land and messuages comprised in this indenture, to hold the same to the use of Joseph Bliss and George Floyd upon the trusts of the will of Sarah Floyd, dec'd, freed and discharged from all claims and demands
PS In 1908 the properties gifted in 1887 were sold to Walter Joseph Hatt and Frederic James Hatt as tenants in common, in fee simple.
