In the 1970s John &Jill Munday lived at 'Byways', on the corner of Goodacres Lane with Lacey Green Main Road.
It was John who initiated the formation of the Cubs & Scouts in Lacey Green and Loosley Row.
Hallmark December 1982. Christmas wishes from John Munday. Looking back over this year when this country's men have "done their duty" to God and Queen" so valiantly, we pray that our own young men will grow up to honour their Scout Promise throughout their lives.
The leaders and committee of the Cubs and Scouts join me in wishing all our readers of Hallmark a very happy Christmas and a Good New Year. Our wishes go especially to our boys, over 40 of whom live in the two villages covered by this magazine.
