Obituary in Hallmark. Diana Ronianski (nee Walker) 1930 - 2002
Diana Ronianski passed away peacefully on 28th March 2002, having fought a courageous battle against Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and work colleagues, whose lives she touched and enriched by her limitless love, kindness and unfailing sense of duty and dedication, both in her personal and occupational roles. She will be remembered in Loosley Row for her total commitment to the parish, for her support of many local groups and activities, and for her wonderful spirit and endless joie-de-vivre.
The young Diana spent her early years in Marlow, and it was her beloved grandmother’ s lively influence and encouragement that lead to Diana’s love “singing with her local church and choirs, and to her Lacey Green Productions contributions. all of which she revelled in.
At sixteen Diana met and married Jan. a Ukranian Eighth Army soldier, and they started life living in very humble surroundings above a shop in Marlow. They worked hard together, gradually building up a successful soft furnishing business, and eventually progressed to their first house at Loosley Row, whilst managing also to bring up a family of four children.
Diana particularly loved her last home in the Village, where she lived happily for twenty-seven years, and hosted many memorable garden parties for family, friends and work colleagues.
Diana worked as head cook at St. John’s School, where she was well known for turning basic ingredients into imaginative meals. She will also be remembered for her compassion and dedication to duty while nursing for nearly twenty years in the out-patients at Wycombe Hospital.
Caring for, and making people happy, really was Diana’s joy, and it will surely be for this unconditional love of everyone, that our dear Diana will be forever remembered.
