Hallmark January 2006. Extract from a tribute by Babette & Peter Green. Gwen was active in many local organisations, Treasurer of The 81st Club, an early member of West Wycombe Decorative & Fine Arts Society, She loved singing and was an active member of the Princes Risborough Music Society for many years. She also enjoyed gardening , was a member of The Horticultural Society and a very accomplished needlewoman in a local sewing group.

Hallmark January 2006. Tribute by Ginnie Brudenell (James & Ginnie Brudinell) Gwen was a real person and a good friend. She approached life with dignity, always beautifully dressed. She unfailingly welcomed her friends into the immaculate house where she and Denis lived, and she obviously enjoyed their companionship. She did the most lovely and intricate embroidery and was happy to advise us lesser mortals when we had problems with ours.

Gwen and Denis were a familiar sight at all village activities where they contributed a great deal to local society.

I will miss Gwen for her lively conversation and firm opinions and will remember her humanity and sparkle with much affection,
