The land upon which ‘Currell Row’ was built had, until 1823, belonged to the Lord of the Manor of Princes Risborough.
In 1823 at the Enclosures of the Parish of Princes Risborough the plot of land on which they were built was allotted to ////////?
The four cottages (formerly three) later known as 'Currell Row' were built on the west side of the Main Road in Lacey Green.
Gardens were provided for them on the opposite side of the road on some land measuring 36 poles, by Plum Tree Cottage no 2 divided into gardens for their use
This terrace of cottages got the name of 'Currell Row' after 1914, when purchased by Free Currell

The garden belonging to the cottage was on the opposite side of the Main Road (see above)

In 1906 the row of cottages, was inherited by Mary Ann Allen from her father Alfred Ward. click Alfred & Betsy Ward for Mary's parents and click Henry & Mary Ann Allen for Mary's married life.
March 11th 1914. Conveyance. Free Currell bricklayer, purchased from Mary Ann Allen, (click Free & Elizabeth Jane Currell for more about Free Currell) :------ All 4 cottages, formally three. Formally in the occupation of Owen Adams, Fred Dormer and Harold Williams. Also a piece of land, consisting of 36 poles, behind Plum Tree Cottage no 2 on the opposite side of the road. This land was divided into 4 gardens for the use of the said cottages.
March 9th 1934. Free Currell’s widow, Elizabeth Jane inherited the properties, now known as ‘Currell Row’. (Elizabeth lived at no.1 Lime Tree Cottages, Kiln Lane).

Marriage. September 11th 1944. Elsie Currell, aged 40, daughter of Free and Elizabeth Currell married George Toms, carpenter, aged 43 Click George & Elsie Toms for their life story
In 1944 All four Currell Row Cottages were inherited Elsie Mabel Toms, after the deah of her mother.
The tenant in 1939 was Sidney John “Jack” Bowler, then 57. click Sidney J & ? Bowler for more.
Research note. Sidney Bowler was the brother of Kate Sladden, wife of Frank Sladden who bought Currell Row no 3 in 1957.
Sold May 6th 1957. Conveyance. Sidney John “Jack” Bowler, the tenant, purchased Currell Row no 2, road frontage 11 feet 3 inches, from Elsie Mabel Toms.
