Hallmark March 2025. Happy New Year from all of us at The Black Horse!

Thanks to all those who came in over the festive period and supported their local. We are currently halfway through February and have just finished some spring cleaning around the pub!

Our food times are now lunches Tuesday to Sunday 12-2:30 and evenings Wednesday to Saturday 6-8:30. We have plenty of specials on the boards so make sure you come in soon to try some of our new dishes out!

We have plenty more events planned over the next couple of months, so keep an eve on Our Facebook page for the latest news. We will be posting a Mother’s Day Menu!

Hallmark June 2024. The year has got off to a good start and we have plenty more planned for the rest of Spring and into Summer as the weather gets warmer!

The Black Horse has hosted some fabulous events this year, beginning with celebrating Burns Night and Mother’s Day! Thanks to all those who attended and got involved, hopefully we will have more soon!

We were sad to see our chef AJ leave earlier this year; we would like to thank him for all his hard work over the last two years and wish him all the best in his new job and the future. We now have Heather in the kitchen who has already put her own spin on the menu and cooked up some lovely specials which are going down well with our regulars!

Looking to the year ahead we have lots of exciting things lined up. We are going to start doing food Monday lunch and evenings so book your table now! We are also looking at hosting monthly quizzes and a possibly a Beer Festival later in the summer!

Hallmark February 2024. Happy New Year from all of us at The Black Horse!

The winter may have been cold, but things have definitely been hot in the Black Horse kitchen. We had a great Christmas with AJ's Christmas Menu going down a treat. Thanks to all those who came in over the festive period and supported their local. We are currently halfway through January and have just about recovered from our New Years Eve Disco and are getting ready for the rest of the year with plenty of events organised!

We have our annual Burns Night planned and ready to go and are already fully booked! We have plenty more planned over the next couple of months, so keep an eye on our Facebook Page for the latest news. We should be posting a Mother’s Day Menu and AJ’s weekly specials return soon!

Hallmark December 2024. What an amazing Summer we have had at the Black Horse, hopefully it will continue into the Winter!

We have enjoyed some lovely summer nights and now we can continue to enjoy the garden in the winter with our new outdoor heaters and lights!

Our roast dinners are now even more popular than ever. We have been fully booked most weeks, so make sure you give us a call to reserve your spot in plenty of time. We are now also offering take away roast dinners as well!

We have TNT and Sky Sport in the pub, if you haven’t popped in for a drink recently, come and watch a game now the football season is underway!

We are having karaoke on the 20th December as well as a New Years Eve Disco. Keep an eye out for more information on this closer to the time, but of course everyone is welcome no tickets required.

The Black Horse is proud to be sponsoring the Lacey Green Sports Club Race Night; we wish them all the best with this event! We had a great time at the Saturday Night Fever disco and can’t wait for another superb evening!

Hallmark May 2023. The Black Horse

The year has got off to a great start and we have plenty more planned for the rest of Spring and into Summer!

We have had a couple of great events so far this year, beginning with celebrating Burns Night for the first time since before the pandemic, with the traditional three course meal, speeches, and toasts of whisky. This was followed by AJ cooking up a marvellous Mother’s Day lunch with both sittings fully booked! Thanks to all those who attended and got involved with these events.

A great deal of work has been going on in the garden as we get ready for Summer. The new Marquee is looking lovely, and we have remodelled the garden with a new patio area to make more space outside for the summer. The play area has had some attention and been redone with astroturf.

Dominoes and Crib have had a great result for the season! The Black Horse team won the league and the knockout double crib. Well done to them! Looking to the year ahead we have lots of exciting things lined up.

Firstly, the Coronation weekend and we are looking forward to a busy weekend kicking off with Karaoke on the Friday Night. Saturday begins with Brunch from Yam till 20m with the Coronation being shown throughout the pub and garden. Through the afternoon from 2-4pm we will be serving Picnic Boards followed by Fish and Chips in the evening from 6:30-9pm. The Sunday we will have Sunday Roasts from 12-3pm. Our Sunday Roast have a selection of meats each week and include a pudding for only £16.95!

We are also starting to do food Monday Lunchtimes from 12-3pm with a Lighter Bites menu. So pop in if you fancy a baguette for your lunch!

We also are excited to announce our Beer Fest will be on 8th-10th September and there will be live music and a wonderful selection of Beer, Cider and Gin!

Hallmark November 2022.

What an amazing Summer we have had at the Black Horse, hopefully it will continue into the Winter months!

We have just updated our menu to match the season with AJ cooking up some winter classics from Liver and Bacon, Homemade Fish Pie and Homemade Steak and Kidney Puddings, they will definitely warm you up on a cold winter’s day.

We have also got BT Sport back in the pub as well as Sky Sports. So, if you haven’t popped in for a drink recently, come and watch a game now the football season is well underway!

Thank you to all the people who joined for our Beer Festival. We definitely enjoyed the live music and American Diner food, and hope all of those who joined us did too!

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a Christmas Fair with the Sports

Club on the 29th of November from 10am-1pm. We have a variety of stall holders from local suppliers such as Timpson’s Butcher as well as a whole range or small independent stalls with a variety of products on sale! The bar will also be serving hot and cold drinks and our chef will be there to serve up some food. As sponsor of the Lacey Green Sports Club Race Night we wish them all the best with this event!

We are delighted to see the Crib and Dominoes League restarting soon on a Monday evening. If you are interested in getting involved, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
