The following obituary was written by Geoff Gomme & published in 'Hallmark' :-
Mary Selena Fletcher - better known to all as "Ciss" - a former popular landlady of the Pink and Lily passed away on October 23rd, aged 92 years. One of a family of seven she was brought up in High Wycombe. During WW2 she worked at A,V. Chubb's munitions factory during the day and for the Red Cross at night.
She and her husband Ken kept The Pink and Lily for 26 years (1956 to 1981) and then retired to Greenlands, Lacey Green.
They were married for 54 years.
Condolences go to Harold May, their former barman and friend, who has looked after them for the last 20 years.
