1980 Village Hall Teas

From Lacey Green History

June 1980 Report in Hallmark

Started in 1978 by a group of ladies to make money for the Village Hall, and to supply the need for visitors to the Windmill and Home of Rest for Horses, but also enjoyed by local people who go out for a walk and then call at the hall, for a nice pot of tea, a home-made cake or scone.

April 1980 Notice in Hallmark. The Village Hall Social Committee will be starting the Sunday Teas at the Village Hall on Sunday afternoons from 27th April. WE need volunteers to 'man the fort (two persons each Sunday) from 2.30 until 5 o'clock. If any kind soul who will have a free Sunday would contact Mrs. Barber, White Cottage, Main Road and give her the dates you could manage, it would be most appreciated.
